Since the mid-19th century, human civilization has utilized mass-produced sealed metal packaging for food preservation, marking nearly two centuries of history. Despite the rise of plastic bottles and Tetra Pak packaging, metal cans, characterized by their lightweight, durability, airtightness, and excellent preservation qualities, continue to hold a significant place in today’s food and beverage packaging market. Disposable metal packaging also aligns well with contemporary ecological values, as it is less likely to be mistakenly ingested by wildlife, even if carelessly discarded by consumers, and its material is environmentally friendly, causing minimal pollution.<\/p>

Importantly, through professional recycling practices, metal packaging materials such as steel and aluminum cans possess the inherent advantage of being infinitely recyclable. This makes them an exemplary modern packaging solution that ensures safety, hygiene, and contributes significantly to energy conservation and carbon reduction. Over the past five years, metal cans have regained widespread consumer popularity in environmentally conscious Western countries implementing stringent plastic bans. The metal packaging industry is experiencing robust growth and has a promising future.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Our founding family has been involved in metal packaging for over 80 years and has diligently cultivated the Taiwan market for more than 70 years, now passing to the third generation. Thanks to the generous support from all sectors, we have evolved from a small-scale operation, originally known as China Can Manufacturing, into today\u2019s publicly traded GCM. In the past five years, in response to increasingly stringent environmental regulations, our company has invested several hundred million New Taiwan Dollars across all production facilities within our group to install air pollution control equipment (such as RTO). These systems prevent volatile substances from inks and coatings from inadvertently dispersing into the atmosphere during drying processes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOver the past year, a regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO), an air pollution reduction unit newly purchased and installed by our company at the Toufen Plant in Taiwan\u2019s Miaoli Prefecture, has entered full operation after completing various tests.This machine effectively reduces the the quantity of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released into the atmosphere during our production process, limiting air pollution to a great degree. In addition, we have requested our chemical suppliers to come up with a\nbetter, more environmentally friendly detergent formula that adheres to modern flourine standards in the treatment of industrial waste water. In the mean time, we have also completed our company\u2019s first-ever carbon emissions statistic report. As a result, we plan to introduce newer, variable-frequency air compressors cross all of our plants. These energy saving systems discontinue the consumption of electricity when production lines are set to a standby, thus bringing us one major step closer toward achieving theoretical carbon neutrality one day.<\/span>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
