Occupational Safety and Health Management
Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management System and Policy
To ensure that all employees work in a safe and comfortable environment, GCM has established an internal Occupational Safety and Health Program. This program is designed and implemented in accordance with legal requirements and practical conditions, covering environmental safety and health management as well as occupational safety and health policies and action plans.
In terms of workplace environment monitoring, the company has developed specific plans to survey the types, usage frequency, and quantities of chemical substances used by each production unit. Appropriate personal protective equipment is also provided to employees. Additionally, the Administration Department conducts quarterly safety inspections of the plant and arranges for workplace environment monitoring to be carried out every six months.
GCM is committed to creating a safe and comfortable working environment and places great importance on employee occupational health and safety. Through rigorous safety and health management, regular inspections and monitoring, effective education and training, and active engagement with employees, the company ensures that every employee can work in a secure environment—supporting the sustainable development of the enterprise.

Health Care and Promotion
GCM has always regarded employee health as a top priority. In recent years, in response to Taiwan’s declining birth rate, the company has actively promoted programs to encourage the return of middle-aged and senior retired employees to the workforce, making employee health an increasingly important issue.
For new employees, the company requires them to undergo a health examination at a medical institution approved by the central competent authority prior to onboarding, ensuring they are physically fit for work. In addition, GCM arranges annual health checkups for all current employees, including foreign workers, covering both general and special examinations.
To create a female-friendly workplace, the company has implemented a maternity protection program, which includes workplace environment and hazard assessments, exposure control, and risk classification management. Health assessments are conducted for female employees of childbearing age and their fetuses or infants. For employees who are of childbearing age, currently pregnant, within one year postpartum, or breastfeeding, the company provides the latest health examination report, workplace monitoring records, and hazard exposure data for reference during consultations with on-site occupational health professionals. The medical personnel provide risk level assessments and recommend safety and health measures either verbally or in writing.
GCM also provides a dedicated lactation room and a range of family-friendly policies, such as menstrual leave, prenatal checkup leave, maternity leave, paternity/partner leave, unpaid parental leave, and family care leave.
